Kolkata, Feb. 26 -- The bomb scare threat mails continue after emails were received by two passport offices and several post offices across districts, prompting evacuations and intensive security checks on Thursday.

Sources in the police said, emails claiming explosives had been planted were received around noon at the passport offices on Brabourne Road and in Anandapur.

Employees were immediately asked to vacate the premises as a precaution. Police teams, bomb disposal squads and sniffer dogs rushed to both locations and launched thorough searches.

However, no suspicious object had been found till the filing of this report.

Almost simultaneously, similar emails were sent to multiple post offices in the state.
