Kolkata, Sept. 10 -- Kolkata Metro is to add 16 new coaches to its fleet of rakes as Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata, today confirmed the arrival of a consignment from China.
The coaches were being unloaded at Kidderpore, of Netaji Subhas Dock, after a vessel 'MV Spring Shine' berthed at the KDS.
The vessel arrived with 16 coaches along with their spares. The coaches are being handled and stevedored by P. Roy Choudhury.
The coaches will soon depart via the railway tracks of KDS to the consignee Metro Railway, Kolkata.
