Kolkata, June 29 -- The investigation into the alleged gang rape of a female law student on the campus of South Calcutta Law College progressed today with the police collecting the DNA samples from the victim and all the accused.
According to police sources, DNA samples of the survivor and three of the accused have been collected. These samples will be sent for forensic testing, which investigators believe will be crucial in establishing the details of the crime.
The outcome of the DNA tests is expected to significantly shape the direction of the investigation.
