Kolkata, Oct. 5 -- : Kolkata's Red Road turned into a dazzling corridor of devotion, artistry, and cultural pride on Sunday evening as the city hosted the Durga Puja Immersion Carnival 2025, a spectacle that blended tradition with performance on a scale only Bengal can conjure.

From high-energy dance troupes to pulsating rhythms of the dhaak, from illuminated floats to minimalist artistry, the carnival was a grand stage where 113 award-winning puja committees presented their idols for one last public celebration before the immersion at Babughat.

The one-kilometre stretch, between Fort William and Akashvani Bhavan, glowed with lights, colours, and the unmistakable Puja spirit, as thousands thronged both sides to witness thefarewell.
