Kolkata, April 17 -- Kolkata based Sourav Kothari displayed his brilliance in billiards and stellar composure to claim the 2025 IBSF World Billiards Championship in Carlow, Ireland on Wednesday.

In an all-India final, forty-year-old Kothari got the better of his old rival and the much heralded Pankaj Advani 725-480 to pocket the world title last evening.

This is Kothari's second world title.

The summit clash saw a nail-biting battle between two top contenders from India. It was a clash of styles with Pankaj Advani's finesse and break-building control facing off against Sourav Kothari's tactical aggression and scoring power.
