Kolkata, Dec. 5 -- IndiGo's massive operational breakdown has thrown flight services in Kolkata into turmoil, leaving thousands of passengers stranded over the past three days.

The airline, which handles nearly 66 per cent of all traffic at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, has been cancelling flights in large numbers and delaying many more, creating unprecedented chaos at the city's busiest terminal.

Between December 3 and 5 (till 2 pm), IndiGo cancelled 92 flights in Kolkata alone.

Both incoming and outgoing flights were hit, with passengers forced to wait for hours with little information from the airline.
