Kolkata, Jan. 24 -- Red Road in Kolkata witnessed a security breach during a Republic Day parade rehearsal on Saturday morning, when a speeding luxury car smashed through a guardrail and entered the restricted area, triggering concern among police personnel.
According to police, the rehearsal was underway under tight security when the car attempted to move from Red Road towards Park Street at high speed.
Police tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver allegedly accelerated in an attempt to flee. The car then lost control and rammed into a roadside guardrail, damaging its left side. No injuries were reported in the incident.
