Kolhapur, Dec. 12 -- In a shocking incident, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) district unit general secretary Raju More attempted suicide as the 'Pigmy' finance business he was operating went into trouble. He reported to have consumed poison to end his life as investors in his 'pigmy' business raised their demand for return of their money.
According to Juna Rajwada police, More, resident of Phulewadi, a suburb of the city, who run a 'Pigmy' in the area lured investors assuring more interest than regular banks and amassed funds to the tune of Rs 8 cr from over 200 investors. However, he failed to offer the promised interest or the principal when demanded by the investors.
