Bengaluru, Sept. 20 -- The Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF), the state's apex dairy cooperative and marketer of the popular Nandini brand today announced a cut in prices of several products after the Goods and Services Tax (GST) on key dairy and food items was lowered by the union government.
A KMF release said GST on ghee, butter, cheese, and crunchy snacks under the Nandini label has been reduced from 12 per cent to 5 per cent.
Taxes on cookies, chocolates, ice cream, instant mixes, and packaged drinking water have also been slashed - from 18 per cent to 5 per cent - making them more affordable.
