Mumbai, Jan. 2 -- The decision of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to include Bangladeshi fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman in its squad for the IPL 2026 season has sparked a political controversy, with leaders from various parties taking opposing positions.
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Nirupam appealed to KKR co-owner Shah Rukh Khan, urging him to reconsider the franchise's decision in view of what he described as prevailing public anger against Bangladesh over recent developments.
