Jaipur, Nov. 30 -- Mukesh Nelavalli caused a major upset at the Khelo India University Games 2025 (KIUG) here by beating Paris Olympics Bronze medallist Sarabjot Singh to secure the Gold at the 10-metre pistol event.
The shooting events of the games are being played at the Jagatpura Shooting Range in Jaipur.
Mukesh Nelavalli, representing Koneru Lakshmaiah Educational Foundation, finished with 243.3 points, while Aditya Malra took the silver with 240.2 points, and Sarabjot ended with a score of 220.8.
Both Aditya Malra and Sarabjot were representing Panjab University at the games.
Speaking to UNI after the match, Mukesh said that he focused on improving his own score than getting overwhelmed by the big names competing against him.
