Hyderabad, Jan. 6 -- union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy has written to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy seeking urgent action to identify Warangal Fort lands belonging to the Archaeological Survey of India, remove illegal constructions and evict encroachers from the historic site.
In his letter, Kishan Reddy highlighted the historical and cultural significance of Warangal (Orugallu), the capital of the Kakatiya dynasty for nearly 250 years, and said Warangal Fort stands as a symbol of the region's rich heritage and architectural excellence. He stressed the need to protect the monument, which was built with multiple fortifications and withstood several invasions.
