New Delhi/Hyderabad, Aug. 7 -- Union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy launched a scathing attack on the Congress government in Telangana, accusing it of betraying Backward Classes (BCs), mismanaging the state's economy, and indulging in diversionary tactics to hide its failures.

Speaking to the media in the national capital on Thursday, Kishan Reddy alleged that the Congress party, both before and after coming to power, has consistently deceived the people of Telangana.

"They came to power on the back of tall promises - six guarantees and 420 sub-guarantees - all of which remain unfulfilled. Instead, they've taken loans just to repay existing debts, and brought the state to the brink of economic collapse," he said.
