Hyderabad, April 14 -- On the occasion of Dr B R Ambedkar's birth anniversary, Union Minister and Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy paid floral tributes to Ambedkar's portrait at the BJP state office and later led a bike rally to the Ambedkar statue at Tank Bund, where he garlanded the statue.
Speaking at the event, Kishan Reddy extended greetings to the nation and announced that, following the BJP's national call, Ambedkar Jayanti will be celebrated across Telangana from April 14 to 22.
He emphasised Ambedkar's enduring legacy in shaping Indian democracy and accused the Congress Party of repeatedly disrespecting Ambedkar, citing the imposition of Emergency, denial of parliamentary honours, and opposition to reservations.
