Hyderabad, May 18 -- As part of the nationwide awareness campaign on the "One Nation - One Election" initiative, BJP State President and Union Minister for Coal and Mines, G Kishan Reddy, participated as the chief guest in a program held at Hotel Katriya in Hyderabad on Sunday.
Addressing the gathering, Kishan Reddy emphasised the need for electoral reforms in the country, stating that holding simultaneous elections is crucial for improving governance efficiency and minimising disruptions.
"Even after 76 years of independence, we continue to follow colonial-era systems. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has consistently advocated for reforming outdated laws in line with present-day political and economic realities," he said.
