Bengaluru, Aug. 30 -- union Minister Kiren Rijiju today criticized opposition parties for their language and behavior, calling it "unacceptable in a democracy".
Reacting to media questions on Congress and RJD leaders hurling abuse on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rijiju highlighted that some leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, have repeatedly resorted to abusive language against the Prime Minister and other national figures, which he said sets a dangerous precedent.
Rijiju emphasized that the BJP and NDA consistently respect democratic norms and the Constitution. "We contest elections fairly. If people do not vote for you, insulting the Election Commission or the Constitution will not change the outcome," he said.
