Dubai, Sept. 17 -- Netherlands pacer Vivian Kingma has been banned for three months for breaching the ICC Anti-Doping Code.
The 30-year-old tested positive for Benzoylecgonine, a cocaine metabolite classified as a Substance of Abuse under the ICC Anti-Doping Code, in his sample following the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 ODI against the United Arab Emirates in Utrecht on May 12.
Kingma admitted the offence and demonstrated that the substance had been used out-of-competition.
As a result, he has been handed a three-month period of ineligibility, effective from August 15,2025. This may be reduced to one month if Kingma is able to demonstrate that he has satisfactorily completed an approved treatment programme.
