KIMS hospital organises DVT awareness walk, highlights prevention and risks
Hyderabad, March 23 -- To raise awareness about Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) and its prevention, KIMS Hospital organized a DVT Awareness Walk at Jala Vihar, Necklace Road, on Sunday.
The event, held at 0700 hours was attended by Minister Raja Narasimha as the chief guest, along with Dr Bollineni Bhaskar Rao, CMD of KIMS Group, and eminent doctors Dr Narendranath Meda, Dr Nagendraparvathaneni, Dr Francis Sridhar, and Dr. Jagadessh.
D Bhaskar Rao emphasised that DVT remains a major health risk worldwide, even in developed countries like the U.S., where 900,000 people are affected annually, leading to 100,000 deaths.
