Imphal, Oct. 2 -- The Komrem Students' union Delhi (KRSUD) has expressed deep grief and outrage over the alleged brutal killing of a young Manipuri student, Joseph Serto, reportedly by senior students of NERIM College, Guwahati, Assam.
In a strongly worded statement, KRSUD said the incident has "shaken not only the student community but the conscience of the nation," stressing that educational institutions must remain safe spaces for learning and growth. "That a student could be subjected to such violence on campus represents a catastrophic failure of oversight, discipline and care," it said.
