Mulhein, Feb. 26 -- Kidambi Srikanth emerged as the lone bright spot for the Indian contingent as several shuttlers, including Malvika Bansod, Tanvi Sharma, and Kiran George, suffered early exits in the singles events of the German Open 2026 on Wednesday.
Former world No. 1 Srikanth registered a convincing 21-12, 21-11 victory over Poland's Mikolaj Szymanowski in the men's singles first round to progress further in the tournament. He will next face fourth seed Lin Chun-Yi of Chinese Taipei, as per Olympics.com.
