Bhubaneswar, Dec. 2 -- The Khurda Road Division of East Coast Railway has once again secured its position as the top-performing division in freight handling across Indian Railways, delivering its best-ever loading performance and setting multiple national records.
Demonstrating exceptional operational efficiency, the Division has handled 209 million tonnes of freight up to November 2025, comprising 115 million tonnes of loading and 94 million tonnes of unloading.
This consistent growth reinforces its crucial role in India's freight transportation and economic development.
Among other major divisions, Bilaspur ranked second with 169.6 million tonnes, followed by Dhanbad (152.8 MT) and Chakradharpur (145.8 MT).
