Imphal, Sept. 14 -- The mats at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium turned into a stage of grit and glory today as the First Director General Assam Rifles (DGAR) Manipur State Judo Championship 2025 kicked off with a vibrant opening ceremony.
Jointly organised by Assam Rifles and the Manipur Judo Association, the three-day meet has drawn eight teams across Senior, Junior, Cadet, and Sub Junior divisions, with both men's and women's events set to unfold.
For the state's budding judokas, it offers more than medals-it's a chance to sharpen skills, showcase discipline, and restore sporting rhythm in a land still healing from recent unrest.
