Shillong, Oct. 13 -- The Kuki Human Rights Council (KHRC) today expressed concern over Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma's stance against the demand for bifurcation of Manipur into two administrative units.

In a statement, the KHRC said, "The Council is dismayed by the Chief Minister's biased stance, which disregards Manipur's integrity."During his recent visit to Manipur, Sangma had made it clear that his party, the National People's Party, opposes separate administration for Kukis and bifurcation of Manipur.
