Patna, July 8 -- A suspected criminal linked to the murder of Gopal Khemka, a prominent businessman and owner of Magadh Hospital in Bihar, was killed during a police encounter. The suspect had allegedly supplied weapons to the shooter.
Police sources today said that on Monday, they arrested Umesh, also known as Vijay, who is the shooter in the Khemka murder case, in the Malsalami area.
When police reached the house of Vikas, alias Raja, a suspect linked to Gopal Khemka's murder, today in the Malsalami police station area to arrest him, he started firing at the police. Police also fired in self-defence, and Raja was killed in the encounter.
Sources said that Raja had provided weapons to shooter Umesh.
