New Delhi, April 2 -- Congress President and Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday called for an all-party meeting to deliberate on the Women's Reservation Bill, urging the government to build consensus and avoid politicising the issue.

Making a plea in the Rajya Sabha, Kharge said he had written to the government requesting that all Opposition parties be brought together for discussions. "I wrote to the government and said that an all-party meeting of the Opposition should be convened so that all of us can come together and present a collective view, and the government can also put its perspective before everyone," he said.
