New Delhi, April 19 -- Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Saturday slammed the Modi government over the rising incidents of attacks against religious minorities, particularly Hindus, in Bangladesh and expressed shock over the murder of prominent Hindu Community leader Bhabesh Chandra Roy.
Kharge, on his social media handle X, said, "The brutal murder of Shri Bhabesh Chandra Roy, a prominent leader of the Hindu community, is proof that a smiling Modiji meeting with the Chief Adviser of Bangladesh was a failure." He added that "Religious minorities, especially our Hindu brothers and sisters, are constantly being persecuted in Bangladesh".
