Kharge slams BJP over Prajwal Revanna conviction
Bengaluru, Aug. 1 -- In a scathing response to the conviction of expelled JD(S) leader and former Lok Sabha MP Prajwal Revanna in a rape case, Karnataka Minister and Congress leader Priyank Kharge today lashed out at the BJP-JD(S) alliance, accusing them of double standards and shielding sexual offenders.
Speaking to reporters, Kharge said, "Let's talk about this again. Isn't the BJP their coalition partner? Isn't their relative a minister in the central government today?"
He further alleged that BJP leaders have deliberately avoided condemning the actions of Prajwal Revanna and other accused. "Have they spoken about this even once? Did they say even once that what JD(S) did was wrong? What Prajwal did was wrong? They are making excuses," h...
