Bengaluru, Aug. 13 -- Congress leader and Karnataka minister Priyank Kharge today raised serious allegations regarding irregularities in voter registration and electoral rolls in Karnataka, highlighting what he termed "systemic lapses" in the functioning of the Election Commission. Speaking to the media, Kharge referred to the last Bengaluru Central Lok Sabha election, where the Congress candidate secured approximately 6,26,208 votes compared to 6,58,915 votes for the BJP candidate, with a defeat margin of just 32,707 votes.
