Bengaluru, Nov. 12 -- Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday demanded deterrent punishment for those found involved in the car blast near the Red Fort in Delhi.
"It is unfortunate that such incidents are happening in the national Capital. You have intelligence agencies, the IB, the CBI, and many other agencies right there. Even with all these agencies, the government has failed," Kharge said pressing for a swift and thorough probe.
"No leniency should be shown to anyone involved. Whoever is guilty must be punished," he said.
Kharge said the Congress will wait for the full investigation report before commenting further and flagged Parliament's forthcoming session starting December 1 as the forum for a detailed debate.
