Shillong, Sept. 28 -- Congress President, Mallikarjun Kharge is set to visit Meghalaya next month as part of the party's efforts to revive its fortunes in the hill state where the grand old party presently has zero representation in the Meghalaya Assembly, the first ever setback since 1972.
The state Congress unit is currently undergoing a restructuring process, with deliberations underway in Delhi to chart out the party's future course.
The grand-old-party had been in the opposition or ruling in Meghalaya over the past five decades and the party had never missed to have elected MLAs in state assembly.
