Jalgaon, Aug. 16 -- Former minister Eknath Khadse has alleged that the investigation into the lynching of Suleman Rahim Khan Pathan (21) in Jamner, Jalgaon district, is not progressing in the right direction.

Responding to this, state minister Girish Mahajan said sarcastically, "Whoever Khadse names, we will arrest. If he wishes, I am even ready to present myself before the police and get arrested."

Pathan was allegedly dragged out of a cafe where he was sitting with a friend and beaten by a mob of 10-12 people, leading to his death, on August 11.

A special investigation team is probing the case, and nine people have so far been arrested.
