Bhubaneswar, April 4 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, on Saturday ceremonially initiated young children into the world of learning at the State-Level School Enrollment Festival and the traditional Khadichuan Ceremony.

Regarded as the sacred beginning of formal education in Odia culture, the Khadichuan Ceremony is being celebrated this year as a vibrant festival across villages and localities throughout the state.

At an event held at Raj Bhavan Government Upper Primary School, the Chief Minister personally guided children as they wrote the words "Mother" and "Father" on slates using chalk, symbolizing their first step in education.
