Thiruvananthapuram, July 28 -- Kerala Fibre Optic Network (KFON) has issued a strong rebuttal to a recent report published in Malayala Manorama, which alleged slow internet speeds and claimed that several government departments were seeking permission to switch to alternative service providers.

KFON has termed the article as misleading, factually incorrect, and defamatory, asserting that it appears to be an intentional attempt to discredit the organisation and its high-quality services.

Currently, KFON serves 1,12,315 subscribers across Kerala, including 23,163 government offices, 71,925 households, 14,194 homes from economically weaker sections, and 3,009 enterprise connections.
