Bengaluru, May 30 -- The release of Kamal Haasan's film 'Thug Life' faces uncertainty in Karnataka, with the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) announcing it will withhold cooperation unless the actor issues a public apology for his recent remarks deemed offensive to Kannada identity.
The KFCC's decision could deal a major blow to the commercial prospects of the film in one of southern India's largest markets. KFCC President NM Suresh said the Chamber would neither facilitate distribution nor screening of Thug Life across the state if Haasan failed to apologise for comments made during a promotional event in Chennai.
