Bengaluru, May 5 -- The Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) on Monday announced a ban on popular playback singer Sonu Nigam from performing or collaborating in any musical events across the state, following a controversial statement he made during a recent concert.
KFCC Chairman M Narasimhalu, addressing reporters here, said, "The chamber of musicians has collectively decided to cease all collaboration with him, effective immediately. This decision includes prohibiting him from performing any songs and organising any programmes."
