Thiruvananthapuram, July 20 -- Amid a protest held by Congress workers, an ambulance was blocked, resulting in the death of a tribal youth in Vithura today.
The ambulance was reportedly held up for about 20 minutes during the protest led by the Vithura Mandalam Congress Committee, which alleged that the ambulance was outdated and had expired insurance.
Binu (44), who had attempted suicide, was initially taken to Vithura Taluk Hospital around noon. After receiving preliminary treatment, he was being transferred to the Medical College Hospital when Congress workers obstructed the ambulance as part of their protest.
