Kannur, March 16 -- The Thalassery Additional Sessions Court (11) today ordered further investigation into the death of former Kannur Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Naveen Babu, while considering the plea filed by ADM's wife Manjusha.
The direction of court for further investigation is said to be crucial and said to be a setback to the CPI(M).
The plea citing 13 alleged lapses in the police investigation in the case and the court directed that four specific aspects of the case will be probed including the official phone records of alleged accused PP Divya, former District Panchayat President and CPI(M) women's leader. The court directed the Police to submit a report by May 30.
