Thiruvananthapuram/Thrissur, Jan. 4 -- Southern Railway today categorically ruled out any involvement of Overhead Equipment (OHE) or railway electrical installations in the early-morning fire at the two-wheeler parking area near the second entry (west side) of Thrissur Railway Station.
According to Railway authorities, the fire broke out at around 6.30 am. On noticing the blaze, on-duty Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel, along with Government Railway Police (GRP) staff available at Platform No.1, immediately informed the Station Master on duty and rushed to the spot.
Initial firefighting action was undertaken using fire extinguishers available at the parking area and inside the railway station.
