Thiruvananthapuram, March 18 -- A complaint has been submitted to the Election Commission against Arun Kumar, son of former Kerala Chief Minister V. S. Achuthanandan, alleging violation of service rules through a political post on social media.
Arun Kumar, Director of the Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD), is accused of making remarks on Facebook targeting the political stand of certain former CPI(M) leaders, including G. Sudhakaran, who is contesting from Ambalappuzha in the Assembly elections.
The complaint states that IHRD officials are governed by Kerala Service Rules and are often assigned election duties, which require strict political neutrality. It alleges that Arun Kumar's public comments violate these norms.
