Kochi, March 23 -- Senior Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala today accused the Kerala government of deliberately derailing the investigation into the alleged Sabarimala gold theft case and claimed the existence of a covert political understanding between the BJP and the CPI(M).

Addressing a press conference at the DCC office here, he alleged that the ruling CPI(M) and the BJP have entered into a "secret arrangement" aimed at benefiting each other in the upcoming Assembly elections, while weakening the UDF.
