Kochi, March 8 -- India's Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar today revisited Cherai Beach, recalling memories of his tenure as the District Collector of Ernakulam more than two decades ago.
The visit came during his ongoing tour of Kerala to review preparations for the forthcoming Assembly elections.
Kumar reached the beach early in the morning, around 7 a.m., and spent time walking along the shore, observing the surroundings and revisiting locations associated with development initiatives he had spearheaded during his tenure as Ernakulam Collector nearly 22 years ago.
Many of those projects played a key role in transforming Cherai Beach into a cleaner and better-equipped tourist destination.
