Thiruvananthapuram, Oct. 7 -- The University Laws (Amendment) Bills have been introduced in the Kerala Legislative Assembly. Higher Education and Social Justice Minister Dr. R. Bindu stated the amendments are essential to ensure the effective functioning of university syndicates, which is key to smooth administration and student welfare.

The move, the Minister said yesterday, aims to make university governance more transparent, accountable, and responsive. "The proper and timely functioning of syndicates is vital for both universities and students. The amendments are intended to strengthen this framework," she noted.
