Thiruvananthapuram, Jan. 17 -- Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has slammed Kerala Tourism for its promotional 'beef tweet' and said that it hurts religious sentiments of cow worshippers.

VHP national spokesperson Vinod Bansal tweeted "Is this tweet meant for promoting tourism or promoting Beef? Isn't it hearting sentiments of crores of cow worshipers? Is this tweet generated from the pious land of Shankaracharya?"

"The @KeralaTourism must understand that u can't promote anything by hearting religious sentiments of millions of its own tourists worshipping Cows," the tweet further read, adding, "Hurts religious sentiments of cow worshippers. Why the Leftists repeatedly tease Hindus ?," the VHP leader added.
