Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 29 -- The Kerala government will put in place a comprehensive senior living ecosystem backed by a single-window regulatory framework to fast-track approvals for senior care facilities.

The state is committed to nurturing quality senior care homes in tune with Kerala's demographic transition, assuring full government support to the sector, said Local Self-Government Minister M.B. Rajesh.

"Senior living facilities will form an integral part of Nava Keralam, as the state witnesses a steady rise in its elderly population," the Minister said while addressing the Sherpa Senior Conclave organised by the state-run Overseas Keralites Investment and Holding Limited (OKIH).
