Thiruvananthapuram, Dec. 17 -- Kerala is poised to become India's first state to operationalise a dedicated electric truck corridor, aligning its clean mobility ambitions with the Centre's PM E-DRIVE scheme.
The proposed corridor along National Highway-66 (NH-66)- one of the country's busiest freight routes- will serve as a backbone for electric freight movement linked to ports, industries and logistics hubs across the state.
The initiative gained momentum at a high-level workshop titled 'Driving Kerala's E-Truck Ecosystem with the PM E-DRIVE Scheme', jointly hosted by the Kerala State Electricity Board Ltd. (KSEBL) and the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT).
