Thiruvananthapuram, Jan. 11 -- Kerala Legislative Assembly Speaker A. N. Shamseer has stated that the absence of major struggles by subaltern social groups in Kerala over the past decade should be understood as a reflection of the state's development.
He made the remarks during a book discussion held as part of the Fourth International Book Festival of the Kerala Legislative Assembly, focusing on the book Political Ecospatiality: Livelihood, Environment and Subaltern Struggles (A History of Subaltern Livelihood and Environmental Struggles after State Formation) authored by Dr. K. Raviraman and published by Cambridge University Press.
