Thiruvananthapurm, May 1 -- Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kerala's infrastructure development is witnessing an unprecedented growth, former Union Minister and State BJP President Rajeev Chandrasekhar said on Thursday.
"The state's National Highway network has expanded from 1,182 km in 2014 to 1,858 km today, now spanning 12 highways," he said in a Facebook post.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari had announced Rs 3 lakh crore worth of road projects, including key industrial corridors such as Mumbai-Kanyakumari and Thoothukkudi-Kochi.
The flagship project, the six-laning of 643 km NH66 from Kasaragod to Thiruvananthapuram at a cost of Rs 66,000 crore, is set to be completed by 2026, he said.
