Thiruvananthapuram, Oct. 7 -- The Kerala Scrap Merchants Association (KSMA), a key stakeholder in the state's solid waste management sector, has announced a statewide job protection rally to be held here on October 8, 2025, to demand livelihood security for thousands of workers and entrepreneurs in the industry.

The rally will begin at 10 a.m. at Putharikandam Maithanam and will be inaugurated by KSMA State President Muhammad Asif. State Secretary K.P.A. Shareef will formally launch the rights protection campaign.
