Thiruvananthapuram, July 31 -- Kerala's extreme poverty rate, which stood at 0.71% according to NITI Aayog's 2021 data, declined to 0.48% by 2024.
"Kudumbashree has played a crucial role in driving this achievement. Of the 64,006 families identified as extremely poor in the Kudumbashree survey, an impressive 93% have been successfully lifted out of extreme poverty," Kerala LSG Minister MB Rajesh said while inaugurating Media Workshop organised by the Kudumbashree today.
