Thiruvananthapuram, March 13 -- Kerala has released district-level antibiograms for five districts for 2025, becoming the first state in the country to publish antibiogram reports at the district level.

The achievement was made possible after establishing Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) surveillance centres in all districts and expanding the monitoring network through a hub-and-spoke model.

In 2024, Kerala had earlier released a district antibiogram for Ernakulam. The state had also published the country's first antibiogram in 2022 during the tenure of the present government.
